Monday, October 19th, 2009
When the Mayor called upon Kauai to observe international and Hawaii State Peace Day, Kauai Pacific School responded in a big way. Joined by Gary Heu from the Mayor’s office, teachers and parents, Kauai Pacific School students paraded through Kilauea town in celebration of Peace. It was an adorable spectacle rooted in acceptance, compassion and community. The students stopped by Healthy Hut and posted some of their poems on the community bulletin board for all to share. Healthy Hut works toward a continued sponsorship program with Kauai Pacific School.

Son-Shine Seedlings
Monday, October 19th, 2009
Once again, it’s the cycle of the new moon and if your a hard core farmer or novice gardener you know it’s time to get your starts in the ground. If you’ve been to Healthy Hut then you most likely know our very own Son shine. Son is around most afternoons answering questions and filling requests for starts.
If you have a need for a particular start not in the “Hut”, let one of our staff know and we’ll try to get it for you. Son-shine Seedlings are always from organic seeds!
Happy Growing!
